Guildford Town Centre, a property owned and managed by Ivanhoé Cambridge, has launched the next phase of its $280-million expansion and redevelopment project. When construction work is completed in the fall of 2013, the centre’s gross leasable area will have increased from 980,000 to 1.2 million square feet, which will make it the largest regional shopping centre south of the Fraser River.
 
Phase I of the project included the expansion of Walmart to accommodate a larger Walmart Supercentre which opened on October 28, 2011 along with the new structured parking facility.  Phase 2&3 of this major project includes the creation of 75 new CRU’s, a newly expanded 965-seat food court, a refurbished interior, comfortable soft-seating areas and an improved layout of the centre.
