January Luncheon - AGM & Presentation on Regional Transit

Please join us at our next BCSCA luncheon, being held from 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 21, 2010 at the Four Seasons Hotel in downtown Vancouver.

The luncheon will commence with the BCSCA Annual General Meeting. The  Board of Directors will be reporting back to you on the accomplishments from 2009 and what we are planning to do this year.  The AGM will also include a review of the BCSCA 2009 financial statements, 2010 budget, and the election of the Board of Directors executive positions.

The AGM will be followed by a presentation by Robert Paddon, TransLink’s Vice President of Corporate and Public Affairs, on “Regional Transit”.   As the population of Metro Vancouver continues to grow, the issues regarding transportation of people and goods around the region become increasingly more acute.  Mr. Paddon will be speaking to the BCSCA membership about a number of important transit topics including: TransLink year-in-review, Canada Line’s first year, Olympic transit planning  - what residents and businesses can expect, and TransLink’s financial situation and funding going forward.
